Description

A delightful combination of traditional Swabian Maultaschen and creamy Carbonara sauce, bringing comfort and flavor to your table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 g Maultaschen (fresh or frozen)
  • 150 g Rindfleischwürfel (diced)
  • 3 large Eier
  • 100 g Parmesan (grated)
  • 1 TL schwarzer Pfeffer (freshly ground)
  • 2 Knoblauchzehen (chopped)
  • 2 EL frische Petersilie (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Maultaschen in a large pot of salted water for 8–10 minutes until al dente.
  2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add the diced beef, frying until crispy and golden brown.
  3. Add the chopped garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant.
  4. Whisk together the eggs, grated Parmesan, and freshly ground black pepper in a large bowl until combined.
  5. Drain the Maultaschen and add them directly to the pan with the beef. Mix well.
  6. Remove the pan from heat and stir in the egg mixture quickly to create a creamy sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately, preferably with additional Parmesan.

Notes

You can prepare the Maultaschen and beef a day in advance to save time. For a lighter option, try baking in the oven or air fryer for a crispy finish.
