Instructions
- Prepare the mandarins: Peel and cut into small pieces.
- Make the sugar syrup: Boil sugar with water until dissolved, then let cool.
- Mix the mandarin pieces, cooled syrup, and alcohol in a sterilized jar or bottle.
- Let the mixture steep in a cool, dark place for 14-21 days.
- Strain the liqueur through a fine sieve to remove solids and bottle it.
- Serve chilled, over ice, or in cocktails.
Notes
For added flavor, experiment with spices like cinnamon or vanilla. Make sure to use ripe mandarins for the best taste.
