Description

A refreshing and aromatic homemade mandarin liqueur that captures the essence of sunny citrus flavors, perfect for cocktails or enjoying on its own.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 68 ripe mandarins
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vodka (or clear alcohol)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 cup orange juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mandarins: Peel and cut into small pieces.
  2. Make the sugar syrup: Boil sugar with water until dissolved, then let cool.
  3. Mix the mandarin pieces, cooled syrup, and alcohol in a sterilized jar or bottle.
  4. Let the mixture steep in a cool, dark place for 14-21 days.
  5. Strain the liqueur through a fine sieve to remove solids and bottle it.
  6. Serve chilled, over ice, or in cocktails.

Notes

For added flavor, experiment with spices like cinnamon or vanilla. Make sure to use ripe mandarins for the best taste.
